At Onslaught we love poetry.
In the last four years we’ve had the good fortune to work with some of the most exciting poets in Africa, Asia, the UK and Ireland.
We are proud as punch to publish South African writer Athol Williams (winner of the 2015 & 2016 Sol Plaatje European Union Poetry Awards) and Mosotho poet Rethabile Masilo (winner of the 2016 Glenna Luschei Prize), and will be publishing Ret’s new collection this summer.
If fresh new poetry from the UK floats your boat, take a look at some of our British poets. We love these exciting collections by Helen Fletcher, Nisha Bhakoo, and Alan John Stubbs and have a bunch of wonderful new British collections coming out this Spring and Summer.
We’ve always had a special interest in Ireland (Cathal Ó Searcaigh, Gabriel Rosenstock, Tadhg Ó Caoinleáin) and will be publishing three Irish superb poetry collections this year, including Alice Kinsella‘s stunning debut Flower Press. We are also up to number 5 in our South Asia series if contemporary Indian, Pakistani, or Nepalese writing is more to your liking.
